Our Vision
A successful business should also be responsible and sustainable.
Delivering sustainable projects is challenging; it means setting high targets, having a culture where everyone is aligned with our aspirations, where we support our initiatives by training our people and our supply chain and where we plan for year-on-year improvement.
Leadership at Willmott Dixon is driven from the top, with monthly meetings chaired by Rick Willmott and attended by Jonathon Porritt and the team on the Sustainable Development Group (SDG).
The SDG gives direction for our sustainable policy and how we are to be a carbon neutral company that sends zero waste to landfill by 2012.
We also use our influence to take carbon out of the built environment, whether in new buildings or in existing ones. For example, our brochure, which you can view on the left, sets out how we aim to work with social landlords and local authorities to improve people's lives through making homes more energy efficient.
Being sustainable is about successfully operating in harmony with our environment, not to its detriment.
