Ten Point Sustainable Project Criteria

Our ten point sustainable project criteria (10PSPC) gives us a way to ensure continual improvement in our schemes against a range of social and environmental sustainability measurements.

The targets we are aiming for either get stricter or remain at a high level from 2010 until 2014 while an increasing percentage of our projects must meet the targets each year.

To encourage our people to do the right thing, we tie their bonuses to their performance against these criteria. In order to achieve between 100 and 120% of their bonus they must reach six out of the 10 targets on each project.

So far 51 projects have met all the criteria.

We have tailored each plan for our three major contracting businesses, Construction, Housing and Interiors, to reflect their markets and ensure we deliver our low carbon, zero waste goals. Our plans are essential to being a sustainable business.

Our three plans are:

Willmott Dixon Construction

Willmott Dixon Housing

Willmott Dixon Interiors

Willmott Dixon has embedded sustainable development into its bonus scheme for employees.

In 2011 employee’s bonus payments can be increased by up to 20% as a result of performance against a set of ten project sustainability indicators.

The annual incentive scheme for Managing Directors is directly linked to employee bonuses and engagement. The overall bonus awarded to employees and level of satisfaction derived from an annual employee survey weight the level of payments achieved.

The employee survey includes questions related to sustainable development.
