Apprentices

Willmott Dixon employ a number of trade apprentices within our Partnerships division who will learn their trade both in a practical and classroom environment in order to provide a high level of service to residents.

Our apprentices learn skills in a practical way on the job, supported by a mentor.  Some will learn skills within one specialist field such as carpentry, whilst our Building Maintenance Operatives learn a variety of skills from carpentry to bricklaying, and plastering to plumbing.

In addition you will study for a NVQ Level 2 on a part time basis.

In order to be considered you will need to:

• Demonstrate commitment and genuine willingness to learn
• Live locally to where the vacancy is
• Be honest and trustworthy
• Be disciplined and organised in your work

You will also need to complete the Construction Skills Assessment Test.  Further details of this can be found on the following website: www.bconstructive.co.uk.

The length of the apprenticeship scheme depends on the qualification undertaken.  When you have successfully completed your apprenticeship we may be able to offer you a permanent role.
