We design and build over 1,600 new homes each year, for social landlords and developers including own developer Willmott Dixon Homes.
Our range and scope includes housing for all tenure types and ownership models, student accommodation, retirement villages, care and sheltered accommodation, plus estate renewal.
All our new housing projects are built with our unique ‘10 Point Sustainable Project Criteria’. It sets targets for our sustainable performance on projects, with year-on-year improvement so that by 2014 all homes will be built to code level six and all waste diverted from landfill. We are currently building our first Code six development, a shared ownership scheme with Catalyst Housing Group in Hounslow that will complete in 2011.

We are also designing out waste from housing projects. Our new software ‘Thinkspace’ automatically checks housing layouts for compliance against more than 600 rules and regulations governing the interior specification of UK social housing. It identifies non-compliance issues early, cuts out costly errors and waste, and improves overall efficiency of the design process.
It’s this approach that helped see us ranked as the highest place social housing contractor in NextGeneration’s 2009 report measuring the sustainability performance of the UK’s top house builders.
